Role Overview:
We’re seeking a Forestry Technology Specialist to join our Corner Brook team. In this role, you’ll leverage technologies like LiDAR and GIS to support forest management and planning, working closely with clients to deliver sustainable, data-driven solutions that align with our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement LiDAR and GIS-based solutions for forest management projects
Collaborate with clients to design customized plans for sustainable ecosystem management
Analyze geospatial data to support environmental and community-focused initiatives
Contribute to job creation and innovation in Newfoundland’s forestry sector
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in forestry, environmental science, or a related field
Experience with LiDAR, GIS, or other geospatial technologies
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like ArcGIS or QGIS
Passion for sustainability, community collaboration, and Newfoundland’s natural resources
